At about the same time that Jarod and I moved into our new home my parents were doing a move of their own. They purchased a small farm in Nanaimo, BC. With the home came 10 chickens and 14 ducks. Jarod and I took the ferry over to Vancouver Island on December 27th to spend a few days with my family and celebrate a late Christmas. We had a great trip hanging out with the birds, playing board games, and going antiquing.
When I was growing up my family spent a few weeks each year in Zurich, Ontario at my grandfather's summer house. I have so many amazing memories of those summers. I am looking forward to my future children having the same adventures; exploring the land and building forts, having sleepovers under the stars, and making wonderful memories with their grandparents.
