Level One Bank celebrates 5th
Level One Bank celebrated its fifth birthday recently. The company, which has seen growth from 11 employees to 130, now operates seven banking centers and has about $500 million in assets.
Among its more recent achievements, Level One opened its most recent branch in Bloomfield Hills and it was named Community Lender of the Year for 2011 by SEM Resource Capital.
Level One Bank recently announced an agreement to acquire Oxford Bank Corporation, a community bank with eight branches throughout northern Oakland County and the surrounding communities.?

Credit Union ONE of Ferndale has been selected a first place winner of the 2012 Dora Maxwell Award for the state of Michigan and will be in the running for an award at the national level. The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award, created in 1987, recognizes credit unions for the activities they coordinate that benefit the community or a specific charity. Terry Sanders, president and owner of Sanders Printing & Graphics of Pontiac is selling the business he started 65 years ago, to pursue his passion for photography in Higgins Lake. The new owner is his longtime friend and colleague, Kevin Armstrong of Arrow Printing in Waterford Township.

Oakland County businesses selected for program Continued...
The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), Bank of America, FORTUNE and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) selected 28 Detroit-area companies for their annual Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) program. The program identifies inner city businesses in need of growth capital, educates them on the sources of capital, and matches them with capital providers in order to grow their businesses and create jobs.
Four of the businesses are located in Oakland County: I*Logic Inc. of Madison Heights, eBabEx LLC of Pontiac, Future Help Designs, a dba of Future Help Inc. of Pontiac and West Construction Services, a dba of West Investment Group LLC, Pontiac.
